It was a great process, getting this referral through a friend really helped. they respect veterans and their past experiences.
First interview was with a normal HR rep and the recruiter that my coworker reached out to. The process was very casual.

How many years of experience?
How did you like military job, what did I learn?
Can you develop Linux?
Do I hold a current TS/SCI clearance?
Simple and just general coding questions. Prepare knowledge of Java and PL/SQL. Understanding of Agile and Scrum. Understanding how to create Jar and Wars. Using TortoiseSVN. Security questions. General coding and developer questions.

Interview
Technical interview was hard but fair. All was well until we got into the HR questions. HR and psychometric interview questions straight out of ChatGPT. Some not relevant at all.
There was one round with the hiring manager and developers on the team. Questions were asked on the microsoft stack - Angular and .NET. The questions were mostly based on my resume.
