I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance
Interview
A case study and a behavioral portion. I'm disappointed I didn't get past the first round even though I did well on my interview. To be honest, this program seems extremely competitive to get into. It's only a team of 40 people and they only hire around 3-4 new consultants a year. They probably interview over 100 people from different colleges too so take that into account. The recruitment process is pretty quick on the bright side.
I applied online. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance (Boston, MA) in Oct 2020
Interview
I applied through LinkedIn and heard back within 4 days.
The interview process overall was relatively quick and lasted less than 3 weeks.
The first round was 2 30-minute case interviews with Senior Managers at the company. Overall, these cases were relatively straight-forward with a decent amount of math involved. Upon finishing my interviews, I heard back within an hour and learned that I would move on to the final round (a week later).
The final round of the interview involved two 1- hour case interviews with Managing Directors and if you pass those, you get the opportunity to interview (30-min) with the SVP of CS&R. Unfortunately, I was not able to interview with the SVP. There was a noticeable difference in case difficulty from the first round to the final round. Strategically, the content is the same, however, the biggest difference is the second round involved significantly more quantitative skills.
Looking back on my performance, I think I did well overall but could've been more succinct in my delivery and efficiency in math calculations for my first interview. Liberty Mutual Insurance provided a great experience nonetheless and would recommend applying!
