      Generalist Software Engineer Interview

      Jan 24, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at LiveRamp (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2015

      Interview

The recruiter contacted me on Linkedin and we set up a time for an interview. When the interview time came she didn't call, and I had to email her back to reschedule. When we were finally able to interview she did not seem very enthusiastic nor welcoming right off the bat. She said she would forward my application to the engineering department but I received a rejection email a few days later. But here's the kicker, the email said I was rejected for a Senior Engineer position, when I didn't even apply to that position, since I am a recent graduate. It was all very weird and unprofessional.

      Interview

Applied directly through company's website, received an online assessment shortly afterwards. You have 2 hours to complete 2 coding question and describe why you would like to work for LiveRamp. Completed all questions, passed the cases and tested over custom cases. A week after received a standard automatic rejection email. No idea what went wrong.

Thank you for your feedback. Many factors play a role in the grading of the coding tests. The test cases are only one piece of the decision making process which include cleanliness of code, thinking patterns, problem solving abilities and communication styles. Interview

Sent an application and received the coding assignment directly through e-amail. Same questions as others here; first the frog questions, then had to explain the question in words. Also had to answer a behavioral question. Waiting to hear back from them now.
