I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Lloyds Banking Group (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2017
Interview
1 - CV and online application
2 - assessment centre (no initial video/telephone interview). There were 3 stages in the assessment centre - group exercise, interview and case study/presentation. The group exercise was an informal debate where the group was split into two teams. The topics were very general (e.g. NHS privatisation). The interview was with two interviewers, and was almost entirely competency-based. Pretty basic questions about teamwork, customer service, communication etc. For the case study we were given some information about two potential business strategies and had to work out financials and explain them and give potential future risks/suggestions. This was then presented to 3 assessors who asked questions.
The assessment centre was very relaxed, got to talk to different members of the team.
