MR Direct interview questions

Assistant called to set up the interview. Interview was with 2 people. It was laid back, they made me feel comfortable. It was the best interview experience I've ever had.

I submitted my application and got an email a few days later from their “IT Manager” who was very friendly and timely. I got the impression pretty quickly that this company is behind the times not only with processes, company policies but also technology. Very antiquated tech stack and communication, code management tools internally. The discussion about pay was somewhat confusing. They pay hourly, require 8:30am - 5:00pm but only pay for 40 hours and NO overtime pay. The pay offered was well below market rates and the job requires wearing multiple hats. Seems to be a good amount of internal politics and stroking of VP ego and from the other reviews it seems that may be a core issue with this company. I didn’t accept any offers but I would say if anyone is considering this role be sure to get pay requirements/agreements in writing especially since it’s hourly not salary (which is strange for a full-time direct hire role anyway). As stated, the person I interviewed with was very nice and I sort of got the impression he just rolls with the punches and has his hands tied.
