I was interviewed by the manager over the phone. He was nice. He then organised an interview in their office. He asked me lots of questions which I went well. In the second half of the interview, the team lead came and he had a technical interview.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at MYOB in Feb 2018
Interview
A few days after my application for the role, I were invited to do a phone interview with the hiring manager through emails. The manager told me about the role and the company. He also asked me about my experience. The phone interview is easy and in a friendly manner. I done well in the phone interview and the manager scheduled a face to face interview at the end of the phone interview.
I did the face to face interview in the following week in their Richmond office. The hiring manager brought alone the HR and the team lead. They explained the role to me again. The hiring manager ask me questions which were not covered in the last interview. The HR also asked me questions about how to deal with difficult situation. However, the team lead played with his phone during the interview . He asked me irrelevant questions at the end of the interview and being rude to me. When the interview completed, the manager showed me around their office and walked me out of the office.
A couple days after the interview, the hiring manager told me that they prefer to have someone with development experience rather than experience in both development and infrastructure which I had already explained to them during the phone interview. I had wasted a week time for preparing the interviews.
