The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's in Mar 2012
Interview
I had an opportunity to interview for a managment position with Macy's and it consisted of the following items:
Panel Interview: In this 1-hour interview I was asked a series of questions covering key competencies for the position.
Presentation activity: Prior to the interview, I was asked to prepare a power point document and make a presentation.
Mock Meeting session: In this session, I was asked to resolve a conflict between a manager and an associate.
One-on-one Interview: In this session, I was interviewed with the Director if the department.
I had a good interview experience nothing out of the ordinary. They asked all the questions I was expecting with a few curveballs. It was more of a conversations then just asking me questions the whole time.
Received a phone interview and then moved onto in-person interview. Took couple of days for a response back to setup an appointment for the in-person interview. Pretty much straightforward and nothing too difficult.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Macy's (New York, NY)
Interview
Numerous questions nothing about the job. Just stress to them you’re a people person.. was supposed to group interview but I said I prefer 1 on 1 because group interviews are childish
