I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Magnusson Klemencic Associates in Jan 2019
Interview
MKA's recruiter reached out to me when I wasn't looking. They convinced me to interview based on a good sounding salary. I went through three interviews, including a 3-hour interview with at least 4 team members. The interviews were good, very conversational, never felt like I was being tested. Everyone that I spoke to seemed great.
Ultimately the offer they gave me was FAR below what I was told in the initial screening interview, and their offered PTO was equal to an entry level engineer. They refused to negotiate on salary, vacation time, nothing. After turning them down once they offered to bump the salary by $3k, but still refused to budge on PTO. I have NEVER in my career dealt with a private company that refuses to negotiate with a candidate. If they had been honest about their salary expectations in the first place (as I was), I would not have invested the time to interview with them.

Interview
Non technical. Relaxed. Mostly get to know you discussions with no tests like some companies do. Seem to be looking for a fit. No skills tests or anything like that
