I was contacted by McDonald’s corporate recruiting team for a position in Chicago. I received multiple automated reminders leading up to the call, however, when the interview time arrived, no one called or followed up.
I waited and sent a polite email afterward to check in with the recruiter, but received no response.
I understand that scheduling conflicts can happen, but the complete lack of communication afterward was unprofessional and disappointing. Candidates invest time preparing, and it reflects poorly on McDonald’s brand when that effort isn’t respected.
Hopefully, the company improves its candidate experience and communication in the future.
Really chill process overall. I applied online, then was invited to one interview. It was relaxed, mostly basic questions about availability, teamwork, and customer service. I got the offer shortly after.
