I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2022
Interview
I had a total of 5 interviews for this position. It was extensive but the company gave lots of resources to prep which was very helpful. There were group classes to attend to get a better understanding of the interview process as well.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
Was a very long process. Several months from when I got my initial phone call, to the second round of interviews. They did not give me enough information. I did not have a business background, and no one told me that I needed to know frameworks for answering questions even though I had asked the recruiter (who had not gone through the process). I would definitely recommend that you learn frameworks. Also, definitely need to practice the PEIs. They say that the PEIs are 50% and the cases are 50%, but it definitely felt more weighted to the cases when I got the ultimate rejection. Also, immediately after the rejection - which came after an email that said to schedule a 15 minute call - I wrote an email letting them know that the process should be different for business and non-business people, because it seems to be the same grading rubric. I never received a response. Feels like the company never wanted me to succeed, which is disappointing. I highly recommend getting business experience before applying. And learn frameworks.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Barcelona) in Jul 2022
Interview
Went through the 3 stages of interviewing process.
1. Stage: AI Game
2. Stage: 2 Interviews with Engagement Consultants.
First 20 mins was a PEI question, where you have to talk about your experience related to one of the 3 McKinsey Principles.
Second part Case Interview.
3. Stage: 2 Interviews with Partner and Senior Associate
First 20 mins was a PEI question, where you have to talk about your experience related to one of the 3 McKinsey Principles.
Second part Case Interview.
This stage is more difficult because the interviews' dynamic is more a conversation than a questions-answer one.
