      Clinical Specialist Interview

      Apr 11, 2011
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Medtronic in Mar 2011

      Interview

Initial phone conversations with the hiring manager were straightforward. i got invited out for a series of interviews (3 days). Day 1 was a panel interview with 2 sales reps who tried to make you feel as uncomfortable as possible to determine how you respond in tricky situations. Day 2 consisted of a technical interview with behavioral questions, an interview with the higher ups, and an interview with the regional HR rep (which was a very effective interview). Day 3 was meeting the team I'd be working with. Lot's of down time during all three days. Some interviews were in different locations which can add to the stress (finding the place, parking, etc). Luckily, I knew most of my interviewers beforehand, and I knew the job front and back.

      Interview

Probably the worst process any company has ever put me through. I had a recruiter screen, hiring manager screen, district manager screen, engineer screen, technical quiz which required over 30 hours of studying, and then a 45 minute long final presentation which took over a week of preparation only to be given a generic rejection telling me they went with someone else and would keep my information on file and refer me to their other positions as they open up. Never again will I let a company waste my time like Medtronic did and give me the absolute disrespect of a generic rejection after the amount of effort I put in. Six interviews has to be a joke and they were just testing if I was enough of a fool to keep showing up.

      Interview

Pretty straight forward just a super long process. Multiple phone calls and in person meet ups. Overall not very challenging though. Just took like 2 months to get an answer. Good experience overall though.

      Interview

6 week process, started with recruiter screen, hiring manager zoom, then field ride with rep. I also networked with the current local CS team with phone calls. They encouraged me to do as many informational interviews as possible with the local team.
