There were about 15 people lined up in a room at a long table facing 3-4 other sales managers. The first half of the interview they explained a lot about the company and how this job is entirely a sales job (a lot of cold calling and meeting quotas - salary based on compensation). They talk a lot about the company and a little bit about the role. There is then a break where you basically network with the 3 managers in the room and try to stand out for 15 minutes before the interview then flips over to your side. The interview consists of them one by one having people stand up and they ask you questions in front of the group, which is very intimidating. They ask you many questions about yourself in front of everyone and you can literally see them pulling the resumes of the people that they want to the top as you speak. After they ask you many questions about yourself and you basically do a sales pitch of what you are passionate about, you form a group of about 4 people and have to pitch Meltwater's services to the sales managers in front of the group to a specific company.
They do not warn you that it is a group interview and I found the process to be very intimidating and difficult to do in front of such a large group you are directly competing with. They also fail to tell you before you get there that it is entirely a sales job, You have to stay in the city to wait for them to call you back and tell you if you made the next round of interviews, which is that same day.
In addition to this interview, before you go in for the formal interview you have to answer about 40 pre interview questions and send it in to them in about a days notice.
