Pretty quick, basic tell me about yourself, how do you handle this type of situation, why should I pick you, etc...they really just want to know if you know about arts and crafts to help sales. They tell you right away if you got the job or not and you will slowly turn in paperwork.
Lots of paperwork. Had to fill out a form that asked questions about family utilizing SNAP, benefits, etc which seemed very invasive. A mandatory assessment that asked the same questions over and over. Then silence for weeks. No communication until finally told they aren't recruiting for the role.

The manager I spoke with was incredibly kind, approachable, and personable. She took her time to thoroughly explain the role and responsibilities in great detail, which I greatly appreciated.

Very brief. Big emphasis on availability and whether you’ll also be available to work the store’s truck shift— if you’re able to, you’re more than likely going to be picked over someone who can’t. You’ll asked if you have reliable transportation, a little about yourself and any retail experience, whether you’re comfortable asking customers to sign up for rewards and apply for the credit card, and you have to understand after a certain date it’s blackout so you can’t call out. So if you’re unable to work Black Friday or have vacation days planned already for Oct, Nov & Dec. you won’t be picked. Which is understandable because it’s peak season and that’s the main reason they’re hiring you. If you choose to be kept on, you have an opportunity for a pay increase.
