I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Microsoft (Bengaluru) in Sep 2025
Interview
I had the chance to go through the interview process as part of a campus opportunity, and overall it was a structured and professional experience. The communication leading up to the interviews was clear, with timelines and expectations laid out well in advance. The recruiter screening gave me a fair chance to present my background, and the final interviews were conducted virtually with precise instructions that made the process smooth. The interviewers were approachable yet professional, focusing on problem-solving, adaptability, and communication skills rather than just technical depth. One of the questions I was asked was, “Why do you want to pursue a career in consultancy, and would you be comfortable interacting with customers on a regular basis?”—which really tested both motivation and readiness for client-facing responsibilities. Although I wasn’t selected in the final shortlist, I appreciated the fairness of the process and the exposure it provided. The only aspect I felt could be improved was the absence of constructive feedback, which would have helped me identify specific areas for growth. Overall, it was a valuable learning experience that gave me insight into high-standard recruitment practices and helped me better understand the skills required for success.
