I applied for a position "Security Researcher" in Microsoft, Vancouver. First I had a discussion meeting with program manager regarding my application. After a week, HR scheduled 3 back-to-back interview, each 1 hour, with 3 different interview panelist. Interviews were so smooth, I had answered almost all questions and didn't answer a few. But none of them belittled me for not giving right answers. I would highly recommend everyone to experience technical interview process with Microsoft. I got a mail from HR next week saying, I will be having final interview with research manager. It was cancelled on the last day. HR re-scheduled the final interview with another research manager. And on the day of my final interview, I received an automation mail from Microsoft that "we will not be moving forward with your candidacy for the position of Security Researcher". I dropped a mail to HR and he too responded back saying he never received any note that the interview has been cancelled.Later HR told they will get back with more information but no response from them even after I mailed them twice asking for an update. The whole interview process took one complete month.All I needed was one response from HR team on the closure.It is not good to keep candidates hanging like this. It would have been better if HR had some basic manners of informing the candidate on the situation. Please attend MS technical interviews for good interview process experience. But do not have hopes on getting conclusion mails from HR (even if you performed well).

Before the interview on site there is a phone call where tech question are asked. You need to understand what group and who is the manager, its important . Also pay what level you enter
