First off, I have to state, I dislike interviewing a whole lot. It is tough for me to speak about myself with an objective of obtaining something I want while hoping to say the right things that you think the interviewer wants to hear. I don't feel like I do very well in them, even if I do.
That being said, I interviewed at Mike Rovner Construction at the San Jose, CA location.
The gentleman, John, I interviewed with was super cool and easy going. He was very thorough of what the job entailed and expectations of what is needed to fill the position. The office environment seemed extremely relaxed yet very professional. I gathered that the balance of work and life is very much valued within this company's culture. I truly hope I get this position because it will allow room for growth, if wanted and worked towards. Seems like a great group of people to work with and a team I would like to be a part of.
Something to add that I thought was exceptional about this interview was that John recognized my qualifications and complimented me on the skills and experience I possess. I thought that alone was worth all the anxiety I had building up prior to coming in for the interview. John had a style of interviewing that allowed me to feel like my at ease while we chatted.
Regardless if I get the position but crossing my fingers that I do, I was able to gain something from the interview. A sense of confidence!
