      Technical Recruiter Interview

      Jan 2, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Boston, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Mondo (Boston, MA) in Dec 2017

      Interview

I applied online and within a few days I got a call from one of the recruiters from the New York office. It was just a pretty basic phone interview asking me what my career goals are, why I'm interested in the position, my past experience etc. I recently moved to the area from out of state so that was a topic of discussion as well. The phone interview went for about 20 minutes and I got a good amount of information about the company and the position. I was told that the recruiter would forward my information to the office he is hiring for and then get back to me by the end of the next day. Well shortly after the conversation ended, I received an email from the recruiter to someone else in the organization...and I was cc'ed in it without them knowing. The recruiter I talked to was reporting their opinion on me and it was generally negative. What stood out to me most was that they thought I didn't have a "real reason" to move there and assumed "I would jump ship fast". I really don't know how or why they got this assumption. I replied to the email to let them know that I was copied in it and able to see the messages, and that I am not the type of person to just "jump ship". The response I got was a basic "sorry, there was an error in our email system, good luck on your search." If I was turned down due to not having the necessary qualifications or just generally not clicking with the recruiter I would understand. I was just kind of upset about the assumptions that were made and the fact that I had to find out about it through an accidental email. It didn't feel very professional to me at all.

      Interview

First, a linkedin message from a recruiter and then a 15-minute phone screening with a recruiter and then an in-person interview with hiring manager. They hire quickly and it is a simple process.

      Interview

I had two different interviews for two recruiter positions a month apart. Got phone screened for both and was told the same regret answer which was they are “moving another direction with their hiring”. Just very disappointed that I was given that feedback a second time around instead of a reason as to why I wasn’t selected to move forward for a recruiter role with recruiter experience already.

      Interview

Many phone calls with the internal recruiter who was very nice. Had a phone call with the VP and received from conflicting information. Both have stressed that it’s very hard work and always over 40 hours a week.
