Moonbase interview questions

The first interview with the recruiter was about 30 minutes, pleasant conversation, nice but professional. Same scenario for the second interview with the hiring manager. By the end of the interview she told me that in the next step I’ll receive a case study which will decide if I enter the role as junior or mid level. She told me she’ll send the email on Friday so I can work on it on the weekend. After I send a reminder email I received the case study without any explanation on Monday evening and was given two days to work on it. I finished the case study within the deadline only to be asked to do it again because there was a mistake within their task so naturally my work was different then expected. I found this really unfortunate as I already put a lot of effort in it, however, I redid it. After a few days I received a pretty generic mail saying that I wasn’t selected for the position. I accept the decision, however, it left me confused as in the previous interview the hiring manager already promised me the position and the case study was only supposed to decide about on which level I’ll enter. I asked for personal feedback, which I believe is fair to ask in this stage of interview process. I never received an answer, which I find disrespectful and unprofessional considering the time and effort I already invested, especially doing the case study twice due to their mistake.
