I applied through other source. I interviewed at NVIDIA
Interview
2 rounds of phone interviews. first one was with VP of Applied DL research. Talked about my recent projects in DL, specifically in applied medical DL. There were some general questions on my routine model architecture design, (regularization, training, parameter tuning etc.). I asked about ongoing projects. The second round was with a senior engineer from the same team. it was a coding interview on CoderPad(the research team uses mostly python). 2 questions, first one is basically the implementation of the equivalent of scipy.stats.rv_discrete.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at NVIDIA in Jun 2023
Interview
Recruiter reached out over 1 month after I had submitted the initial application to schedule an interview. I asked the recruiter about the interview format (behavioral vs technical, etc.) but they never responded. I met with the Hiring Manager for a 45 minute interview to evaluate experience and overall fit. Interview was positive but ultimately I heard back 1 month later with rejection. Reviewer failed to respond to prior requests for an application status update.

Question 1
First 10 minutes were spent discussing the team's background, goals, and current projects. Then 3- minutes for questions pertaining to my technical background and prior projects that overlapped with the work their team was doing. Remaining 5 minutes for Q&A.
