I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NetApp (Orem, UT) in Feb 2011
Interview
It was really easy, they'd accept just about anyone with a pulse. One person from my hiring class had never worked professionally with computers at all. The interviewers were very friendly and I knew I'd be getting an offer within the first 3 minutes of the interview.
First we did a 2 person technical interview, then moved on to a 1:1 management interview. I received an offer the same day.
Normal interview process was smooth. Nothing out of the ordinary. Classic and standard process of hiring in the region and in the industry. Hiring manager asking classic questions and asking about past experiences
The interview was conducted virtually and focused on assessing fundamental knowledge across the infrastructure domain. Key areas included the basics of Linux servers, networking concepts, and storage fundamentals. It's important to be well-prepared on these core topics, as the questions were primarily aimed at evaluating foundational understanding.
