I was given a test assignment to complete at home. A week after I submitted it, I received feedback in the form of text files. Presumably, the evaluation was conducted by a LLM (bulletin list organized by category, these tiny emojis here and there); I disagree with most of the points, but my request for an additional call — where I could defend my decisions and approaches — was denied. I spent five days on this assignment, and the company refused to give me 15 minutes. This shows a complete lack of respect for someone else’s work.
I applied online. I interviewed at Neugelb Studios
Interview
Step 1: Initial call with talent acquisition manager, good atmosphere during the interview,
Step 2: A tech challenge that takes more time than expected, and you should be careful here and show maximum with best practice – it is really important for the company (I realised it only after the tech challenge feedback).
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Neugelb Studios (Berlin) in May 2025
Interview
The process included a coding challenge focused on building a SwiftUI app consuming a movie API with async/await, dependency injection, and MVVM. Communication was slow, feedback vague, and additional requirements appeared post-application. Despite delivering almost all requested features with clean code and tests, I received a generic rejection without clear reasoning. The process felt biased and lacked transparency.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked to build a movie list app with infinite scrolling and a detail view using SwiftUI. Optionally, a search with autocomplete.
