I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Bethpage, NY)
Interview
The process was very straight forward. I had been contacted by NGC about possible work. I had a quick conversation with our group director. It was short and I was told that in the near future a position would be opening up soon. About 1.5 months later I was contacted and a phone interview was scheduled. The phone interview was about 20 minutes long. After which I was asked to come in for a formal in-person interview.
The in-person interview was a panel interview with three managers which last 3 hours. This may seem long, but the interview was very relaxed and the panel was actually very nice and welcoming. The three hours went by very fast.

Question 1
No real unexpected question. The hardest part of the interview was the length. Three hours seems long. But it was not what I would consider a stressful interview.
Short process that required a 1-on-2 with two team managers. Behavioral questions that are commonly found online and should be responded to in STAR format. Pretty straightforward, but be able to talk in detail about your experiences.

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you had to adapt quickly due to changing circumstances
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman in Jun 2023
Interview
HR Business Partner reached out to schedule an interview and set up the following week. Interview with hiring manager went great! Received an offer over the phone from HR (Wednesday afternoon). Tried to negotiate salary a bit, with no success. I asked if I could have the night to decide and discuss with family; HR agreed. Called the next morning to accept the offer. HR said "great, I'll let the manager know." Got a call 4 hours later saying the manager wanted to "continue interviewing stronger candidates". Very unprofessional experience overall. Not sure why NG is extending offers to "weak" candidates.

I was contacted via email and we set a date for when the hiring manager could call me. He was the engineering manager for the entire division, and he told me there would only be one interview.

Question 1
They asked me to tell them about myself. Then they went over the values of Northrop and asked me to tell them about a time I exhibited each of these values in the workplace.
