I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Manhattan Beach, CA) in Apr 2013
Interview
Applied online, got an email asking for an interview from someone in ABAL. Had a phone interview with general questions. The interviewer was feeling under the weather so perhaps he wasn't as talkative as he could have been. During interview, said that he'd also refer my resume to someone else in Space Park. Followed up to say they had gone with a better fit. Later contacted by the manager he referred me to, went to an on-site interview with two managers (one of which is now my manager). They were very friendly and the one who is now my current manager seemed as if she wanted to bring me on board even before the interview was over. Gave me a quick tour of a lab showing me the hardware. They asked questions about my experiences as listed on my resume, then asked for some specific skills (e.g. board design, digital design), but seemed more interested in where to fit me and how to make it worth it for me rather than try to find out if I was good enough/qualified. Later an offer was extended and I accepted.
