I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Aventura, FL)
Interview
Was referred by current rep. who was very honest and forthcoming with the pros and cons of the position. 1st interview went really well -- recruiter was very approachable, kind, and honest. Asked a variety of questions to get to know me (i.e. what's your greatest accomplishment?). There are 4 interviews and she let me know mid-conversation that she wanted to set up the next one with the Managing Director. They seem to take the 'mutual interview' process seriously, so I'm excited to meet the MD and learn more about the company.

Question 1
Didn't really have one...she asked about my thoughts on 'commissions only' and I was honest.
There were four or five interviews, if you count the meeting with my future mentor. There were also a few personality assessments. Lots of paperwork. The finance industry is tightly regulated.
The first interview was easygoing and went fairly well. We talked a little on myself and what northwestern was all about. Because they wanted to see how I could fit in to their team and what I would bring.
I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Greenville, SC)
Interview
The process was smooth and straight forward. A lot of behavioral based questions, but relaxed and low stress. First phase is a phone screening followed by a teams or in person meeting.
