I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Newburgh, NY) in Nov 2009
Interview
The process is done in three interviews. The first is with the college internship coordinator. She asks you about your resume and what you think you could bring to the company. The 2nd interview is with regional director. He makes you give a presentation and asks you to fill out as many contact sheets as you can when you get home.
It was good, simple, and they provided a lot of information on what the position would look like. They explained the reasoning for commission-based pay, and how they help support new interns with that.
I had an interview with northwestern mutual but im seeing a lot of people say its just a pyramid scheme to cold call people in my network. is this true?
