I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Woburn, MA) in Mar 2010
Interview
30-45 min interview. I wasn't asked many interview questions that were too difficult or made me have to think. One that stood out would be: What would be your dream typical day at work? It almost seemed to easy to me. Don't get me wrong, NWM is a legitimate Fortune 500 company, but it seemed like they were almost desperate for Salespeople. They wanted me to form a market around my family and that was something I wasn't comfortable doing.

Question 1
What do you envision your typical workday to look like?
I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Greenville, SC)
Interview
Very casual, over the phone, expect to cold call even if they say you won't. Almost zero technical questions and seemed rather rushed. Probably wouldn't advise unless you have no other options.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (West Hartford, CT) in Nov 2024
Interview
First was a phone call interview. Then in person with the cheif recruiter. They had me come in for a third interview to meet two more representiatives and gave me assignements to start building my clients
I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Honolulu, HI)
Interview
The initial interview was fine. If you wish to proceed they'll give you an assignment that will take some time to prepare. If they offer you a position you'll find its mostly all networking through your personal connections for sales. Not ideal.
