I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual in May 2009
Interview
The interview consisted of 2 one on one meetings. The first meeting was pretty much a sales pitch about why Northwestern's internship is a great choice. They also ask you a little bit about yourself and why you are attracted to the internship. At the end of the first interview they tell you to go home and make a spreadsheet containing the names, addresses, and phone numbers of people you could call to be potential clients. The second interview is a behavioral interview and they go over your spreadsheet.
Series of interviews that began with an information session, followed by a basic "get to know you" interview where you learn more about the position, followed by a final interview
Straight forward and easy. Consisted of a call and a zoom interview. First with a recruiter and then with a full time rep that was part of the internship. Fairly easy and straight forward.
Sales focused interview. Need to provide a list of 200 people and their contact info to pass the interview, and once you're hired you'll have to contact all those people.
