The initial interview was a phone screen, which went okay-ish. I didn’t get a strong sense that the recruiter enjoyed the current state of the company, but I decided not to let that deter me at first.
The subsequent interviews were STAR based, which seems like such an antiquated way of interviewing. I felt unnatural giving my answers in such a structured way. I would have preferred to have just a normal convo instead. Everyone was polite and professional, but the STAR structure just made for awkward interactions for me personally.
