I found the interview process at Okta extremely smooth and well coordinated. The process was straight forward from initial call with the Lead Recruiter, interview with the Hiring Manager, a peer interview and then a final interview with the RVP Commercial Sales. For each stage I was briefed on the preparation needed for the next call. The entire process was less than 3 weeks (could've been shorter but I was on holiday).
- Mainly competency questions around AE activities i.e. territory planning, prospecting methods and forecasting.

First round went very well, answered all the questions but then got ghosted by the recruiter…no email responses either when I followed up. Found it unprofessional especially if I’ve personally reached out for an update or feedback.

During the initial call with the recruiter, typical inquiries and discussions about expected salary were covered. Subsequently, in the second call with the sales manager, a detailed explanation of the job role and its specific requirements was provided.

HR pinged me on Linkedin and scheduled a meet for which she never turned up. Then she came back with another meeting date for which she again did not turn up, thus wasting my time and my sleep TWICE (as the meetings were at PST friendly time 5AM IST). I cannot believe such unprofessional behavior from an Okta HR. She did not bother to reply or apologise for this either.

Too many interview rounds, overall good follow-up. 3 to 4 interviews plus a final panel interview including a use case. Feedback took too much time and it was not always clear.
- Questions were targeted on industry and Okta company knowledge, next to sales approach. A use case was the final part of the interview process.

I applied on the company website after which I was reached out by a HR Recruiter. She was extremely helpful but i resent that working night shift wasn't mentioned in the first call. I interviewed for the role remotely and I was asked if I was aware what Pre Sales was and if I could help their potential customers in their technical issues.

Fairly straight forward interview process, screening, hiring manager, case study and panel interview with senior executives. It was described as a 1-2 week process but is actually closer to 3-4 weeks in length. The core pillars are described as honesty and integrity but I feel they missed the mark here.

Frustrating to say the least. Had an interview scheduled, recruiter cancelled day of and offered to reschedule that afternoon or the following Monday. I had to follow up 5 times in an attempt to get a response over the the next two weeks. Still never heard back.
- Never even got to the interview stage because she cancelled day of and never responded to any of my follow ups.

Overall the process was pretty straight up. Had a call with recruiter, then a phone screen and then on-site. The on-site consisted of 4 interviews, which included behavior, coding, and team match type of questions. Overall left me a good impression of the company and the people i would be working with
