I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2008
Interview
Applied online at their website, short-listed for interviews. There was a mixer where interviewees got to meet their interviewers, the day before the interview. The interview itself took place on campus. There were 3 one to one interviews I recall. One was more focused on personality traits and experiences, while the remaining 2 were case studies. The interviewers were quite nice, and when one called to tell me I didn't make it to the next round he was very kind to have offered advice on what I could have done better and so on. He spent a good 20mins or so talking to me on the phone about it, which I really appreciate. Great guys.
it was smooth but you need to work hard on your calculations skills, i failed in this part of the case because the calculator is not allowed and i had not familiarize myself with it before the interview but overall it was a good experience
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
tell me about yourself, why consulting and the case question
I applied online. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (Milan) in May 2026
Interview
Pre-selection with one mini-case/brain teaser of 30 min. Overall, the case was testing both numerical reasoning and logics I would say. If you prepare the mini cases correctly you can pass.
Interviewers never attended on time. Rescheduled 7 times. Cases were easy relative to other firms. They dont take candidates very seriously so prepare for that. Personal questions include why OW?
