I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (New York, NY) in Sep 2012
Interview
One round of on-campus interviews (2 interviews - one case interview and one resume discussion and fit interview), and one on-site superday (2 case interviews + one panel interview + casual discussions with current consultants). One of the case interviews was not a typical business case, but instead a probability question with a unambiguously correct answer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Panel interview question: a business case is laid out before you, upon which you have 1 hour to prepare a 15 minute presentation of your solution to a panel of interviewers. My question involved optimal pricing of a commodity whose supply is fixed but perishable, i.e. failure to sell beyond a certain determined time results in loss of the commodity.
it was smooth but you need to work hard on your calculations skills, i failed in this part of the case because the calculator is not allowed and i had not familiarize myself with it before the interview but overall it was a good experience

Question 1
tell me about yourself, why consulting and the case question
I applied online. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (Milan) in May 2026
Interview
Pre-selection with one mini-case/brain teaser of 30 min. Overall, the case was testing both numerical reasoning and logics I would say. If you prepare the mini cases correctly you can pass.
Interviewers never attended on time. Rescheduled 7 times. Cases were easy relative to other firms. They dont take candidates very seriously so prepare for that. Personal questions include why OW?
