I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (Boston, MA) in Oct 2010
Interview
passed the initial math test they administer, its fairly simple. then had a phone interview that was 20 min of fit, and about 20 min for the case, and 5 min for questions. got feedback about three days later, was recommended for the next round, though they gave me a week and a half to prepare for cases more thoroughly. bombed the next interview, got feedback and formal rejection within 24 hours.
it was smooth but you need to work hard on your calculations skills, i failed in this part of the case because the calculator is not allowed and i had not familiarize myself with it before the interview but overall it was a good experience
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
tell me about yourself, why consulting and the case question
I applied online. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (Milan) in May 2026
Interview
Pre-selection with one mini-case/brain teaser of 30 min. Overall, the case was testing both numerical reasoning and logics I would say. If you prepare the mini cases correctly you can pass.
Interviewers never attended on time. Rescheduled 7 times. Cases were easy relative to other firms. They dont take candidates very seriously so prepare for that. Personal questions include why OW?
