      Data Modeler/Architect Interview

      Mar 28, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Optus

      Interview

Interviewed for role via recruiter. One interviewer didn't show up. The interviewer that did show up was armed with a whiteboard and went into a deep-dive into my past experiences as a Data Modeller. Interview questions were highly technical and expected detailed answers about implemented architecture solutions at other companies - by the end of the interview, I was questioning whether I was actually there for an interview or if the interviewer was just gleaming intellectual property. I didn't progress any further but I wouldn't have wanted to anyway, given that I did not comfortable with the level/type of questioning and I didn't really understand nor agree with their intended approach for thei brand-new Enterprise Data Warehouse.
