I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Orrick (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2019
Interview
Everyone was very friendly - I met people across offices which goes to show that the firm really does act as one firm. They nixed interview meals though (no lunch or dinner; though one of the associates did take me out for coffee).

Question 1
What about my past work experiences made me a good fit for the group? They asked why I was leaving my old firm to join them and if I was interviewing elsewhere/why Orrick.
The interview contained several unnecessary questions that did not seem relevant to the position. Despite receiving positive feedback, the final outcome was a rejection for reasons that were vague and unexpected.

one associate interviewed me and she was rude. she didn't seem prepared and she had a smug look on her face the entirety of the interview. It felt like it was rapid fire questions being thrown at me that she googled in the moment.
