Interview
I went to an assessment centre for one of three Marketing Assistant roles. There were ten of us. We were taken to a big conference room and asked to find our name on one of three tables and sit in our assigned seat. After a short introduction, we were given 15 minutes to complete a task alongside the people on our table. Together, we then give a 5-minute presentation to the rest group to feedback our ideas. After this, there was a ten-minute Q&A session where we got to ask the interviewers any of our questions. Then we were given a test to complete and, during this time, we were called individually to a private, ten-minute meeting with the interviewers.
I found the assessment centre intimidating and very draining, but also a great challenge and a valuable learning experience. I'm also grateful that the interviewers took the time to provide thoughtful feedback following the process.

Don't waste your time applying here.
If you're lucky enough to get an interview you'll quickly find out that they ONLY hire experienced people for entry level roles. They'll be all smiley in the interview then afterwards they will say they hired someone who was already doing the job at another company or that they had more experienced candidates for the role.
It's an entry level role. ENTRY LEVEL. That means you don't need experience. It makes you wonder why people with experience are applying for low paid entry level roles.
It also makes you wonder why OUP is being trash and only hiring experienced people.
Don't apply for OUP. They only want people who have tons of experience and they'll pay you way bellow the average.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do you know about OUP?
Tell us about yourself?
Interview felt really long. Met with three different people. Each session was one-on-one. They were all easy going, kind, and informative but being there for so long becomes a bit overwhelming.
