      Project Leader Interview

      Oct 17, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PCA in Oct 2024

      Interview

I was contacted one month after applying to setup an initial interview. It was a one hour remote interview with 2 people. One never spoke and just listened. The other person asked the questions which were either technically super easy or non technical and very open ended such as "tell us about your developer journey?". They want you to be on call one week every 3 months 24/7 but did not provide an example of how this would work logistically except to say that they give you a VOIP phone. I guess I would need to sleep in my office for a week so as to not wake up my family in the middle of the night. I didn't interview well as the questions were so "out there" that I had to hold myself back from laughing. One of the technical questions was so ridiculously simple that it was difficult to answer with any substance. It was like asking an electrician if they have experience with electrical wire. The position is primarily WinForms/WPF and some Blazor. There was no follow up from them and I saw the same position posted again a few days later. Looking back I was happy not to advance to a second interview. Having been on the other side of interviews as a product manager, I recognize that they are not very good at interviews as they seem to have this list of prepared questions that they use which is a very non organic solution to the interviewing process.

      Question 1

Why do you want to work in WinForms if you are currently working in Blazor?
