I applied online. I interviewed at PQShield (Paris) in Jul 2025
Interview
My recruitment process was structured into three distinct phases: an initial HR screening, a strategic discussion with the line manager regarding team objectives, and a comprehensive technical assessment conducted by two security experts to rigorously validate my engineering proficiency.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
During the technical interview, they showed me C code with potential flaws, and I had to pinpoint them.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at PQShield in Sep 2025
Interview
I applied through referral. Few weeks after application, I had my first telephonic conversation with one person from the People's team. I was not expecting it to be a short multiple choice questions technical round, however, I did very well and answered all questions correctly.
Next round was a one hour remote technical round with a senior member of the technical staff. Based on my previous experience, most of the questions were on Embedded systems, firmware development, C programming language, and some tools such as CMake and GNU tools. Some basic Cryptography level questions were asked. I was able to answer most of the questions quite well.
Third round was another remote, technical interview with 2 principle Engineers and this time questions were more detail oriented. Again the questions were from embedded systems, C, Assembly and Cryptography.
Fourth round was with another person from the people's team for who focused on cultural fit and personality.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience — and congratulations again on your offer!
We’re really pleased to hear you found the process to be a positive one. Our goal is to create an interview experience that reflects the depth of the work we do, while also giving candidates a fair opportunity to showcase their skills across embedded systems, software, and cryptography.
We appreciate your feedback on the structure of the initial screening — it’s helpful for us as we continue to refine the balance between technical assessment and candidate expectations at each stage.
Wishing you all the best in your new role, and we’re excited to have you join us!
