I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Paylocity (Arlington Heights, IL) in Mar 2016
Interview
Went through many phone interviews with the internal recruiter. Made a great relationship with her. She knew the company and culture and sold me very well. She made several comments that I would make a great candidate. Finally had a chance to do a face to face interview internally with a member of management. The individual was late, very late. This wasn't an issue for me. They are an active and vibrant organization with a need for people. The company looks great, and they are very proud of their environment. Would have loved to continue on with the process, but they decided to move on, and no longer consider my candidacy.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Paylocity (Rochester, NY) in Apr 2026
Interview
Very organized and the recruiters were very helpful in preparing for the interviews in person or via zoom depending on the job title. Very friendly atmosphere and welcoming nature of the team leads but I was somehow not selected. I am sure the competition is strong.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me to give them an overview of my resume using examples.
It was a very typical interview process. I interviewed with 3 separate individuals who all asked the majority of situational questions where the interviewee was to share examples of: an issue or client/customer question, my response and how it was handled or resolved and the client's response.
Interview with manager and possibly other manager/directors then once hired there are 2 test to take to see if you retained learning the job and must get 80% hire or you are let go.
