I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pearson (Boston, MA) in May 2012
Interview
The interview took place in a dark, quiet part of a floor that seemed to be deserted. The atmosphere was not inviting and there was nothing about the conversation that made me want to work at Pearson.

Question 1
The big red flag was when the interviewer explained that Pearson rarely hired anyone permanently, no matter how long they'd been with the company.
Just a normal interview. We were sitting in a boardroom with no table between us. Gave me a much more comfortable feel. They were personable and open to questions. They also seem to have a sense of humour, which is always nice.
I applied online. I interviewed at Pearson (Austin, TX) in Mar 2020
Interview
Met at worksite where I was asked to take a timed, written copy editing test. Without an in-house style guide, I had to use my own judgment in making editing decisions. Pearson interviewer encouraged use of a range of hard copy style manuals and dictionary. Felt a bit rudderless and went overboard on editing. I think this is what sunk me. My advice is: do a light edit on test.
