      Graduate Program Interview

      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Pfizer (Kildare) in Feb 2019

      Interview

Several rounds of interviews. First a short phone interview with typical interview questions, they asked about my knowledge of Pfizer, one question that stood out was "what would you do if you questioned something your supervisor asked you to do" A few weeks later I received an invitation for a video interview and had 5 days to complete. The interview was short and asked you to introduce yourself. They asked where I saw myself in 2 year time. They asked if I would be open to working shift. A few weeks later received an invitation to an assessment center. This was the most challenging part of the process. Carried out a group discussion and aptitude tests. The following week I was invited to a 1:1 interview. The interview was challenging but interviewers very friendly. They went through my CV and then asked various STAR related questions (tell us about a time you had to work with a tight deadline, tell us about a time you had to resolve a problem etc.) then at the end was asked a few technical questions. The interview was last round of assessment

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pfizer (Dublin, Dublin)

      Interview

After approximately 2 weeks from application, I was contacted by Pfizer to take an online supervised assessment, which consisted of 3 parts. For each part we had 9 minutes and before beginning the real assessment, we were given a couple of example questions. The first part was based on numerical reasoning. Some questions required to perform calculations, while others were based on graphs. You could not use the calculator, but calculations were not very difficult. We were allowed to use a paper and a pen. The second part was based on verbal reasoning and presented 4 short paragraphs, followed by questions, where we were asked wether a statement was "true", "false" or "cannot say". The last part was based on diagrams. We were given an example diagram and presented with several options, from which we had to choose the one that had the closest logic resemblance to the example. Besides the online supervised assessment, we had to complete 2 questionnaires, in 48 hours from the receipt of the email. Each questionnaire took approximately 15-20 minutes. The first questionnaire focused on the behavior in the work place. Each question described a real world scenario and we had to choose among the options available our two more probable reactions. The second questionnaire was a personality assessment. Each question presented two choices and we had to pick the one that described better our preferences.

      Interview

Long interview process with multiple steps but final interview itself is quite short with a question on each of their core values - courage joy equity and excellence. Also a question on what GMP are and have you ever experienced them

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Pfizer (Toronto, ON)

      Interview

      1. I was emailed a questionnaire which I was to complete. Questions like "what do you know about Pfizer" etc. 2. On the same day, I was also sent a personality survey to finish. I tended to pick more logical options. 3. The day after, I received an invitation to do a supervised psychologic assessment. There are plenty of sample questions online that you can practice with. This particular one was relatively straightforward. 4. On the same day I finished the assessment, I was notified via email that I was invited to a group exercise, in which I could pick a time slot for. For this session, I'd recommend taking the initiative to either introduce yourself first when it starts or offer to be the timekeeper. Share at least 2-3 opinions within that time frame, and respond to other people's thoughts. Remember, be memorable, be a leader, and be responsive. 5. Around two weeks later, I was called by HR to arrange a 1-hour long panel interview with the hiring managers. Please practice your STAR questions! Although I haven't been given a rejection email, I will consider this application to be so. HR has been silent for five weeks now and has not responded to my follow-up email, despite the hiring managers telling me the decision would be made in two weeks. I understand these things take time and delays are common but, at the very least, communicate this with your candidates. It's extremely unprofessional, in my opinion. Because of this radio silence, I've moved on to accept a job offer for a graduate program from another company.
