After a quick interview with recruiter on Zoom, the next step was technical assessment. The whole test was a a Google Doc file containing several analytical questions including questions about finding flaws in a code, also questions about improving it and suggesting strategies for optimizing its performance. There was also a coding task in the assessment. They only gave me one 24 hours to complete it. After succeeding in this stage, I was invited to a technical interview. Two people interviewed me and initially asked questions about the answers I gave in the assessment. Then they asked a lot of technical questions in general about the technologies I had to work with. This interview lasted about 2 hours. After about a week, I heard back from them. They told me the exact amount of salary they could offer. The offered salary was shocking though, because even compared to the countries in the region, it was so low and due to the difficult process of interviews, my expectations were higher. But after my research, I realized that in Penang the cost of living is low even compared to the capital. The offered salary seemed more reasonable then. Anyway, I accepted their offer and entered the HR interview steps. I had 2 different interviews with the same person on two different days. She challenged me a lot. Some questions were repeated in the second interview. Given that this was my first experience with a HR interview, this step did not go well at all. Finally, after about a week, they informed me that they rejected me without giving any feedback.
