The process was lengthy and overall it seems like they do not have their act together.
Months after applying I heard back and had a 30 minute interview with an engineer. He was very kind and nice to talk with despite having a horrible internet connection. He sent me the coding challenge and they promised a gift card upon completion like others mentioned.
I completed the challenge but was rejected in the end, which was kind of a relief.
The code challenge was a straightforward crud api with a front end. The requirements were met and the code worked so I’m not sure what they’re looking for. Mostly I’m annoyed that they promise payment/a gift card and act proud that they do this but then they don’t deliver on the promise. Just be honest and don’t mention it at all.
Also, for a web dev company they don’t even have a confirmation message upon code submission for their candidates. It’s a bit ironic.
If you’re really into the company I’d say apply but if you value your time, look elsewhere.
