      R&D Modeling and Simulation Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Procter & Gamble

      Interview

Applied to 3 different R&D positions through the online portal. Attached resume and provided cover letter emphasizing skills relevant to each position. One of the three sent an email for me to complete the online assessment. Very time consuming but I figured it was worth it if I landed an interview. The Success Drivers Assessment looks for leadership skills and competencies when working with other. The Reasoning Assessment tests your cognitive ability by having you determine the shape in series of shapes. The test itself is extremely easy. However, you will want to make sure that the new browser window that it opens does not cut off the clock. I was unaware that there was a clock counting down off to the side. I missed one question because it counted down to zero before I was able to respond. Bummed me out. But can you do. After about a month or so I received an email saying "Thank you for taking the time to complete our application process. Unfortunately, your qualifications are not a match for this position. This may not affect your other application(s) or other positions for which you have applied." I can understand not getting an interview because they already hired someone else, or they found a more qualified candidate, or the position was cancelled. But to tell me that my qualifications are not a match, when I meet or exceed all of the qualifications listed, really irks me. I believe this to be another example of how poorly implemented application tracking software (ATS) is used to assess a candidate's qualifications. I will not be applying to P&G ever again.
