      Centralized Claims Adjuster Interview

      Nov 15, 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Riverview, FL
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Riverview, FL) in Nov 2021

      Interview

This was an amazing experience. I applied on 10/21 and on the next day I received an email to take an assessment. Please take your time to complete this test as it will take about an hour. There are a lot of math questions and in the end there is a mock software simulation customer service conversation. Pay close attention and have a pen and paper with you. For instance, the mock simulation will give you a credit card number so you can go to the right page on the software and type the number. Hence the need to write things down. If you pass on the test, they will send you an email with the next step which is the virtual interview. I waited 3 days and received the email. The interview consisted of recording yourself answering 8 questions. You have 3 minutes to answer each question. You have two chances. If you don't like the first time, you can record yourself again on the second time. The questions are all in star method, so be sure to study. Watch Madeline Mann videos on You tube, as she will help you to prepare for the star interview. Someone posted all of the 8 questions in the customer representative interview. Study those. **Unless you are prepared, DO NOT attempt to answer the questions without studying the star method. Progressive is looking for good and detailed answers. I wasn't sure if I did well, but was super surprised when 4 days later after the virtual interview, I received the email for the final interview. I book the interview a few days ahead so I can have time to prepare myself. The final interview took about an hour. At first the interviewer will ask 3 questions and then will go straight into the 5 start method questions. My manager/recruiter was very nice and personable. But you must prepare for the questions in the second interview. I was very prepared and still got stuck in two questions that I had to be creative enough and respond quickly. Make sure to ask questions in the end about the position. This position requires a 6-20 All lines insurance license that you must pass. They will provide you with the material to study for the exam. One week later after the interview, I received a call from another recruiter offering me the position. The entire process took about 22 days plus the background check.
