Recently separated from the military and was looking for a job that was within my field. A Progressive service center had opened here less than 6 months ago and I had a casual conversation with a progressive employee and he told me sometime in December (2014) they would be hiring. A position opened up for Auto Damage Estimator, I applied December 6th. The 16th I received the link for the online assessment, nothing hard very basic questions. The next day I received the e-mail stating that I had passed. The 22nd I received the e-mail with the link to schedule the phone interview. I scheduled the interview for the 24th. The phone interview was conducted in STAR format. The interview was a great person that really put me at ease, felt more like a conversation than an interview. Before the call was over he told me that I made it to the final round, the in-person interview. I received an e-mail for my background check with Hireright. Hire Right is not to bad so don't worry. I sent the recruited an e-mail on January 2nd asking if they had the interviews scheduled. My interview was the 15th at a my local service center. I was interviewed by 2 managers again in STAR format. There are no secrets to nailing the interview just practice the STAR format and research the organization. I walked out of there feeling really confident. The very next day (less than 24hrs later) I received a call from the recruiter saying that the interview went great and in fact they would like to offer me a different position! He sent me another e-mail to check my driving history. The following Monday he called with the formal offer. He told me I could start 2 weeks later on the 2nd of February.
