I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Quinn Emanuel in Mar 2011
Interview
The interview was focused on whether you can do the job, and whether you have the experience to handle such a competitive environment. It was a more adversarial interview than most I have had with law firms--these are litigators with little taste for beating around the bush.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If you don't have the experience to be here, you will get pressed on that point continually.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Quinn Emanuel (New York, NY) in Jan 2026
Interview
Seamless process but absolutely humorless people. They did not care that i existed and did not have any questions for me. Seemed like a bad conversation I had to hold on my back
The interview followed the usual structure: introductions, a short discussion of my background, and questions about my interest in the firm. One interviewer had to leave unexpectedly, which meant the session concluded well before the allotted time. Although the questions were standard, the early finish made the overall process feel a little disjointed.

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Quinn Emanuel (New York, NY) in Mar 2024
Interview
Standard big law post-clerkship; no surprising questions. But be introduced to introduce yourself as it appeared people had not reviewed my resume before and prepare a few questions ready for them.
