    Community Manager Interview

Anonymous Employee in London, England (UK)

    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Quiqup (London, England (UK)) in March 2018.

    Interview

Incredibly thorough, with many stages. This helped, as it allowed me to really gauge whether these guys were the ones for me, and vice versa. And luckily, they were! The individual interview stages were more like in-depth conversations, which truly helped me to understand their thoughts patterns, values as a company - and vice versa, I guess.

    Operations Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Quiqup (London, England (UK)) in September 2016.

    Interview

Interviewed by three people-which was quite intimidating for an internship interview 90% of the questions didn't pertain to the job at hand, but rather at how "weird" I was and what I would do if money were no object (see below). Also being interviewed by three people is a waste of the Quiqup staff's time too, just for an entry-level internship of 10 weeks.

The interview was harder than a lot of graduate and internship interviews I've had before and ironically a few days after this one landed a graduate job; with an interview that was far more pleasant and felt less like X-Factor.

Quiqup never emailed me back about whether I got it or not; very unprofessional (but I'd gathered that from the strange warehouse location + the silly questions), still definitely bad form. Also the salary was never mentioned at any point, nor in the job spec, telephone interview or the in-person one. Could save a lot of time for everyone involved if salary was known beforehand (previous internships had it listed as £500 per month and I would never have interviewed if that were the case).

    Interview Questions

    • "Do you have your CV with you?" (No and I wasn't told to bring it)
      "What did you study?"
"What modules did you study at university?"
      "Did you do a thesis?"
"How weird are you on a scale of 1-10 and why?"
"If money were no object, what would you be doing?"
"Would you rather ask for forgiveness or permission?"
"Do you read about the tech industry?"
"Are Deliveroo one of our competitors?"
      "Who are our biggest competitors?"

Last two questions seem a bit unfair for an entry-level internship; if I had more knowledge of the industry and the company then I probably would have applied for a proper position.   Answer Question

    Account Manager Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took a week. I interviewed at Quiqup (London, England (UK)) in February 2017.

    Interview

I applied online via LinkedIn. I spoke with the recruiter as she tried to make sure that I was suitable for the role that I applied for. I then had a phone interview with the recruiter of the company. I was then invited to have a face to face with both Emily and Lulu at the head office.

They were very lovely to speak with. I was quite nervous due to the fact I really liked the company and what they represented. They were re assuring during the whole process.

    Head of Human Resources Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Quiqup (London, England (UK)) in August 2016.

    Interview

They reached out to me and after several emails which took about a month a date for a meeting was arranged. Met with one of the co-founders and had nearly a two hour meeting. Followed up several times afterwards to be told the budget for the role had now been cut by £20k and would I still be interested. After agreeing we could meet a middle ground was asked to complete a detailed task to present to the team. Spent a couple of days on it and have heard nothing back since not even a no thanks even though I have sent several emails.
A complete disregard for the time and effort that was put into the process. Unprofessional, chaotic and unresponsive. Don't bother wasting your time with them.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Quiqup (London, England (UK)) in April 2018.

    Interview

From the first email I received from the HR lady, she seemed apathetic, although during the telephone interview she seemed more interested.

After passing the telephone interview (twice), I was invited to a face to face interview at their office in London. Upon arrival, I was greeted by another HR person and the person I've been communicating with didn't even acknowledge my presence. After my interview/interactive case study with two senior members, which went longer than planned, I was told I'll be contacted.

Although, I was unsuccessful, HR lady offered to give feedback, but when I responded to be called, she stated that she was busy for the next few days but could send the written feedback. So I asked for the written feedback so that I can review and understand better when she calls me - but the email she sent was the most basic rejection email:
"Thank Name for discussing this role with us, unfortunately you have not been successful ..."
So no real feedback after interview even after going to the final stage.

There was a short telephone interview where they were finding out if I was suitable. followed by a first round of face to face interview. This was then followed by a second round interview that included a role play scenario.

    Interview Questions

    • During the second round of face to face interview I was asked to complete a role play based on people management. I was to conduct a 1 on 1 conversation with the employee.   1 Answer

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Quiqup (London, England (UK)) in August 2018.

    Interview

The interview process was very thorough with a short telephone interview to check I was suitable for the role. The first interview was with my eventual manager where we discussed what i knew about the company, the direction the company was heading in and what i thought i could bring to the role. After this initial interview, i was sent some data on an excel sheet and a written task attached to it. This was reviewed before moving onto the next stage. The final interview was with the VP of the company. In this stage the interviewer learnt more about me and we went into greater detail of what would be required in the role.

    Easy Interview

    Application

    I applied in-person. I interviewed at Quiqup.

    Interview

I had one screen interview with the CPO and Co-founder. Then another Hangout with a PM.
Then work on a study case. No real feedback, except they wanted to invite me on on-site presentation.
According, to their need, they should shut down the opening position.
Was a long process, with no real feedback and transparency.
Look like there is a real lack of organization, communication.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Quiqup (London, England (UK)) in July 2018.

    Interview

Amazing, not intimidating, made feel at home! Had a phone call with a recruiter, a one on one, a presentation with a director and then a cultural interview with some existing staff to see if I was a good fit. Thorough but I am happy for it as `i managed to find out if it was for me as much as if I was a good fit for them.
