So, this was by far the weirdest HR phone screen ever! This company sounded more like a cult than anything else when they started describing the work culture. It really does sound like they reach into your personal life with their "scripture-based core values".
It only gets better though lol
I think they view themselves as a major tech company. Their interview process is more rigorous than Amazon's!
1. Phone screen with HR
2. Hacker Rank "Ramsey Solutions | Backend Coding Challenge "
3. Three 45-minute "virtual" interviews.
4. Onsite (sounds like a full day).
FYI If you're planning on relocating, then you better have some money in the bank! You will have to pay for the entire move and then wait for them to reimburse you. A decent company would at least pay for a moving company and corporate apartment upfront. And to top it off, they want you to create a relocation budget and show it to them LMAO
So, despite all these red flags, I decided to try the Hacker Rank coding challenge.
1. Tic-Tac-Toe: Given an array of 9 objects representing X, O, or Empty Tic-Tac-Toe cell states, they ask you to write a method that says who won or if there was a tie or if the game is still in progress.
2. Refactoring: They give you looonnng method and ask you to refactor it by applying the good-ole DRY principle and other Martin Fowler stuff.
3. Craaaaaaaaaaazy Oracle or T-SQL question: They must not hire database admins and are probably making devs design the DB and implement stored procedures. MEH
Too much effort for not enough money, but I guess they pride themselves on being frugal.
