I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Ramsey Solutions in Apr 2021
Interview
Several online interviews. If you make it past those, you will have several interviews in-person at the company and a spousal interview at the end of the process. If you make it to the spousal interview, its very likely you’ll get the job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Whats is your related experience to the role? Do you agree with and live out Dave’s money principles?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ramsey Solutions (Nashville, TN) in Sep 2022
Interview
Bizarre as Heck. The type of Bizarre that leaves you scratching your head and with bad vibes after.
So first I was reached out by a recruiter who wanted to get to know me and wanted me to learn about the company. He had no position in mind for me, and it seemed the only thing he liked about me was that I was a christian and went to a christian university.
Talked with him 3 times:
1st time: Asked if I would be willing to relocate and some questions about me and left me some material to learn about Ramsey solutions.
2nd time: asked me if I had applied for anything within the company and told me to look at multiple positions to find a fit in the company if he couldn’t get me something (You mean you don’t have a position in mind for me???)
3rd: Time pawned me off to another recruiter saying that he deals with people with a higher experience level (Did you not read my resume????)
Then I talked with another recruiter, and she asked if I would be willing to possibly go lower on the salary range I had put( Note: it was rather high but it was accounting for moving and cost of living in Nashville, TN and inflation) Asked me questions about how many Dave Ramsey podcasts, youtube shows I had watched etc. ( I had watched a few of the videos the previous recruiter had sent me but, they are not paying me to watch everything about him and I work a full-time job right now.) It seems like they expect you to be a fan boy/girl. They even asked if I had been sent a skills assessment, which I hadn’t.
I also figured out the interview process was a 3 month long process.
So i’m possibly putting in the effort of a full-time job for no pay? To possibly work a job that won’t pay me cost of living difference and inflation?????? And at the end of this 3 month process after i have put in all this work I might not get the job?
I got just a bad feeling and after a day of thought i withdrew my application.
If the recruiters are this weird and are not giving me proper information upfront, and not communicating with each other this early, what does this say about the company? Aren’t they supposed to represent the company?
I might have just gotten a weird deal here but my gut instinct is telling me no and i learned to listen to it early on.
