      Analyst Interview

      Dec 18, 2009
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Red Ventures in Dec 2009

      Interview

I was first invited in for a so-called informational interview and met with two people, spent about 30 mins with each of them talking about my background and why I was interested in the job. I got a call two days later to come in for a second round next week. On my second round, I had four individual interviews and was mostly asked behavioral and resume-based questions plus a few small case questions such as "how many windows are there in Charlotte?" I was also given an Excel sheet on a laptop and asked to analyze it by myself for 45 minutes and then explain it. After the second round, I've got a call a few days later asking me in for a third round. I again had three individual interviews and was asked the same questions over and over again. I met with one of the partners this time and he asked me a logic/math question. I then met with two other people who asked me many smaller case questions. I was hoping that the third round was going to be the last but they invited me in for a fourth round and the reason they gave me for this was that they were trying to figure out which analyst position (marketing analyst or sales operations analyst) I would make a better fit for. I naturally assumed that they were willing to hire me but just needed to decide on the position. Oh well, I went in for a fourth round and had three more individual interviews (if you are counting, it totals up to 12 interviews now). Same questions over and over again. A few more cases, one of them was "how many planes are now in the sky?" And after all this, what do you think happened? They told me they decided that I wasn't a good fit for the company and that took them 12 interviews! Wow, what a waste of my time and energy!

Good interview Process. The first phone screening interview was good, the technical was a bit hard, wish I got some sort of feedback. other than that it was good. all the people i talked to seemed nice and friendly and good at their job.
